What We Do Chapter Activities The Redwood Empire Association of Code Officials holds monthly business and educational meetings, as well as sponsoring seminars related to the model codes. The primary Chapter activity, however, is the monthly business meeting. The Chapter meets the first Tuesday of each month, alternating between locations in Sonoma and Marin Counties. (for exact meeting location, contact the Chapter Secretary). These luncheon meeting begin at 12:00 noon and conclude at 2:00 PM. The cost is $25.00. The meetings are open to the public and new membership is encouraged. Yearly membership dues are $60.00. The format of the monthly meeting is generally one hour for Chapter business and occasional guest speakers. Guest speakers are associated with building codes and the construction industry. Past speakers have included prominent construction industry professionals, as well as representatives of the highest levels of state and national building codes. The business portion of the monthly meetings follows a formal agenda, which includes reports for the membership on various subjects: ICC report, legislative news, and discussion of model code issues.
