Minutes of the Meeting of Tuesday - September 7, 2004

 

1. Call to order

Vice President Daryl Phillips (The Phillips Group), called the meeting to order at
12:00 Noon at Josef’s in Santa Rosa.


2. Self Introductions

Vice President Phillips welcomed 14 attendees and called for self-introductions.


3. Approval of Minutes

Minutes for the July 13, 2004, meeting were posted at the website (www.reaco.org) and e-mailed.
M(Cliff Kendall)/S(Dave Martinez)/Passed to accept the minutes as posted.



4. Officers and Committee Reports

a. Treasurer

Mike Enright (City of Santa Rosa) reported that the balance of the checking account was $9,850.64 and the balance of the CD was $11,528.39. There are pending disbursements for the ICC Annual Business Meeting and other miscellaneous expenses that were previously authorized.

e. Executive Committee

No report.


f. Education Committee

Ed Henry (County of Marin) advised that the access coordinator is still trying to determine a date for a class.


g. Code Coordination Committee

No report.


h. ICC Liaison

No report.


i. CALBO Liaison


Dave Martinez reminded the group of the education weeks occurring in Modesto, Concord, and Ontario. ICC has agreed to honor the classes offered by CALBO. As noted in a letter to the Chapter, CALBO and ICC will post all Chapter classes. It was noted that there are members in the Chapter that would be interested in a post-disaster assessment class.

8. Old Business


It was noted that information was received from Fred Herman clarifying the complimentary registration for the ICC ABM applies only to the Chapter President.


9. Program

None


10. New Business

Guy Bachelis suggested that the Chapter continue to analyze the benefits of having programs with the monthly meetings.

Mike Enright noted that Keystone Retaining Wall Systems had offered to do a program.

Daryl Phillips announced that a potential field trip to the Juvenile Justice Center currently under construction may cause a change in the location of the October meeting.

Doug Williams reported that the newly appointed State Fire Marshal, Ruben Grijalva, had attended the CALBO/Cal Chiefs Fire Advisory Committee.

Meeting was adjourned at 1:30 p.m.
